Sleep Deprived
Tabitha has been going through her usual vomiting spell for a while now, and yesterday we thought she was all but over it. Turns out we were wrong. After being up changing nappies, clothes and bedding at 2:30 and 3am, we turned off her feed and waited for her to go to sleep again. She finally went off at about 3:45. Then Ellie had a bad dream at 4am.
They shouldn’t be called children, they should be called “sleep destroyers”.

A New Car
Yesterday I collected a new car from a dealer. A BRAND new car that is. One that only had 7 miles on the clock when I got in it. It is on the Motability scheme and we have only got it because of Tabitha’s disability. I love the car, but I am finding it nerve-racking driving it around. I still have a lot of getting used to it to do. Well, I’ve only driven it 28 miles so far……

Some people know nothing
I need to open a very specific type of bank account. I’ve been told in the past exactly what account to open, so today I went into the bank to open it. You would have thought I was speaking in Chinese from the response I got when I asked to open the account. No one had any idea what i was talking about. I was on the point of telling them where to go and going to a totally different bank, when someone finally overheard the conversation, and admitted she’d tried to open an account before and had it rejected because she hadn’t got it set up right. The person who told me about this type of account, had had to intervene to get her other account to open. Unfortunately, that person is off sick. So after 30 mins waiting in the bank, I am now at home waiting for a phone call to confirm that I CAN open this account.
And they wonder why the banks are going under……

Long time…..
I know, I know, I haven’t updated since forever, but here we are now.
We have had a few things happen in the time since I last posted. Tabitha has had another round of ENT surgery, glad that one’s out of the way. Ellie has started in year 1 at school, and still mainly seems to be happy there. And we have some new additions to the family. Chickens this time. We bought 5, but have since lost one to illness so we are keeping our fingers crossed that the others will be ok. They are doing ok so far, and we are getting about 3 eggs a day from them so the productivity is good especially for this time of year. They all have names, we have Nugget, Kiev, Little and Lucy. Nugget is the naughty one. She is always getting up to something and the others then usually follow.
Tabitha continues to have periods of sickness mixed with periods of being well. She has begun to sign, she now can sign ‘dog’ and is beginning to get ‘please’. It’s been a long wait for her to develop communication more meaningful that crying, but finally there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Right, thats a quick synopsis for now. I’ll try and stop by a bit more frequently again, well, if anyone is still reading this that is!
